Case Studies

CGF is made using a substrate of non-woven glass which is then coated using Atlas proprietary technology. The result is a highly stable material generating both strength and penetration resistance for the finished product.

 RECOMMENDED USES

While CGF is primarily used in the polyisocyanurate insulation manufacturing process, many other uses are under exploration. In the case of polyiso foam board, it acts as a dimensionally stable, fire resistant facer. As it is unaffected by water, it neither shrinks nor expands, and it firmly adheres to the foam. Atlas CGF, a non-woven glass reinforced mat coated facer with a proprietary limestone/latex mixture, is protected under US Patent No. 5,112,678.

Features & Benefits

Dry Weight = Nominal 40-pounds per 480-ft2

Caliper = 0.022-inches, ± 0.005-inches

Tensile, machine direction = 30-lbs pli minimum

Moisture = 1.0% to 3.0% as shipped

Roll width can be up to 50-3/4" ± 1/8" as specified by customer

Roll diameter can be from 42" minimum up to 54" maximum, as specified by customer

The heavy PVC core is 4" I.D.

Each roll will be tightly wound and be in such condition as to accept the core bungs for proper payoff while unwinding the roll.

No roll splices will occur within 6" of core or within 2" of the outer diameter. Splices will be flagged on the side of the roll - i.e. clearly marked. A roll will not contain more than 1 splice.

Each roll will be labeled with production date, shift, roll number, length, and weight.

Packaging of rolls will depend upon the roll size ordered and per customer request. Loads will be maximized for weight and damage protection.
